Comments Feature

Redaction Comments allows you to collaborate quickly and efficiently with colleagues involved in the redaction process. 


The "Redaction Comments" feature allows you to add comments, edit comments, delete comments, reply to comments, and resolve comments directly within the document you are redacting.


1. Add Comments


a. Click on the 'Comments' icon in the toolbar and click 'Add Comments' the cursor will change to the comment icon. 


b. Click anywhere on the document and see the modal to leave a comment. Type the comment and click the 'Comment' button to save (note: cannot save a blank comment) or click 'Cancel' to close out of the modal.



2. Edit Comments


a. Click on the comment modal and click on the 3 dots or 'Morebutton in the top right hand corner of the comment modal.


b. Click 'Editto modify the comment.


c. Click the 'Update' button to save the edited comment. To keep the original comment click the 'Cancel' button.


3. Delete Comments


a. Click on the comment modal and click on the 3 dots or 'Morebutton in the top right hand corner of the comment modal.


b. Click 'Delete' to remove the comment.


4. Reply To Comments


a. Click on the comment modal and fill out the 'Leave Comment' field to submit a reply to the comment. 


b. Click the 'Comment' button to save the replied comment. Click the 'Cancel' button to leave no reply.


c. The reply comment is stored in a thread under the original comment. If the original comment is deleted, all replies under it will also be deleted.

  


5. Resolve Comments


a. Click on the comment modal and click on the 3 dots or 'More' button in the top right hand corner of the comment modal.


b. Click 'Resolve' to resolve the comment. The comment will no longer be visible on the document.


c. Resolved comments are saved in the Comments side panel. To view select the comments dropdown to see only 'Resolved' comments.


d. In the Resolved comments panel, click the 3 dots or 'More' button next to the resolved comment to reopen the resolved comment.


6. View Individual Comments


a. To view all comments click on the 'Comments' icon in the toolbar. The comment icon will appear in the document wherever comments have been added.


b. Hover over the icon to see a preview of the comment.


c. Click on the icon to take action on the comment (Edit, Delete, Reply, Resolve)


7. View Comments in Side Panel


a. To view all comments click on the 'Comments' icon in the toolbar. This will open the Comments side panel.


b. View the history of comments sorted by most recent at the top.


8. Filter Comments


a. Select the dropdown and select to see 'All', 'Open', or 'Resolved' comments. 


b. To close the Comments side panel click the 'Comments' button or click 'X' on the side panel.
