Draw Redactions
The Draw Redaction feature allows users to manually redact any area of a document by drawing a redaction box directly over the selected content.
It enables users to redact sensitive information that may not be identified through automated detection methods, including images, tables, charts, signatures, handwritten notes, paragraphs, and custom document sections. It also provides flexible controls for resizing, repositioning, deleting, and managing redactions directly within the document editor.
This is ideal for handling complex, image-based, or uniquely formatted documents that require manual review and precise redaction control.
Why it matters
The Draw Redaction feature is designed to make manual redaction faster and more flexible by:
- Providing full control over redactions: Mark any area of a document for redaction, regardless of how the content is formatted.
- Securing non-text elements: Apply redactions to images, logos, charts, tables, signatures, and handwritten content that automated detection may miss.
- Allowing easy adjustments: Resize or reposition redaction boxes after placement without restarting the process.
- Supporting compliance and audit tracking: Apply selectable redaction reasons to document why specific content was redacted.
- Improving flexibility for complex documents: Redact uniquely formatted sections, custom layouts, or scattered sensitive content with precision.
