Redactable’s Find & Replace feature is designed to meet the specific needs of power users who require both custom redaction reasons and the ability to apply them at scale.
This feature allows users to quickly search for sensitive data and apply redactions with custom reasons across all instances.
For example, if a legal professional needs to redact both a defendant’s and a plaintiff’s names in a court filing, they can search and redact each name with a different redaction reason. By doing this, they can ensure that both names are handled with their respective redaction reasons.
Why It Matters
The Find & Replace feature directly addresses the need for large-scale redactions and customization by allowing users to search for sensitive data and apply custom redaction reasons across multiple instances.
Here are some of the key benefits it offers:
- Saves Time: Automating the search and redaction process significantly reduces the time spent on repetitive tasks.
- Enhances Accuracy: The feature reduces the risk of human error by eliminating manual redaction steps.
- Ensures Consistency: The feature guarantees uniform application of redaction rules so that terms such as names, case numbers, or other identifiers are handled consistently across all instances.
- Customizable Redactions: The ability to apply custom redaction reasons at scale gives users full control over how sensitive information is redacted.
- Compliance: In industries like legal, healthcare, and government, where data protection is critical, improper redactions can lead to data breaches, legal liabilities, and other serious issues. This feature ensures sensitive information is thoroughly redacted and properly documented with reasons.
