Bates Numbering Feature

Easily number your document pages with customizable Bates numbering. Set placement, prefix/suffix, digit count, start number, and preview before applying.



1. Placement 


a. Select the "Bates numbering" button on your document page


b. Choose from various locations such as the top left, bottom center, or other predefined positions



2. Number of Digits


a. Define the number of digits you want in your Bates numbering sequence.


b. Example: Opt for 3 digits for a sequence like 001, 002, 003, etc.


3. Start Number


a. Specify the starting number for your Bates numbering.


b.  Input your desired starting number to control the sequence from where you want it to begin.


4. Prefix and Suffix


a. Add a prefix and/or suffix to your Bates numbering for additional customization.


b. Enter your desired prefix and/or suffix in the provided fields to automatically apply them to each Bates number.


5. Page Range


a. Apply Bates numbering to specific pages or a range of pages within your document.


b. Select the range of pages you wish to number using the Bates numbering feature.


6.  Preview


a. Preview how your Bates numbering will appear on the document pages before finalizing it.


b. Use the preview function to ensure your settings are correct before applying the numbering.


7. Delete


a.  If needed, you can delete the Bates numbering from your document.


b. Use the delete function to remove Bates numbering from your document if you need to make changes or start over.


8. Confirmation


a.  Once Bates numbering is successfully applied, a confirmation snackbar will appear.


b. The snackbar will notify you that the Bates numbering has been saved.



The Bates numbering feature is designed to streamline your document management, giving you the flexibility and control you need to organize and number your pages efficiently.
