Enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security to your Redactable account by requiring not only your password but also a code generated by an authentication app on your mobile device.

Access Your Profile:

1. Click the dropdown arrow next to your name in the top right navigation in the redaction tool.
2. Click the "Profile" button to open the Password & Security section.

Navigate to Security Settings:

1. In the Password & Security section, click "Password & Security" to access the security settings.
2. Click the "Enable Two-Factor Authentication" button to start the 2FA setup process.

Set Up Your Authenticator App:

1. Install one of the following applications on your mobile device:
   • Google Authenticator
   • FreeOTP
   • Microsoft Authenticator

Scan the Barcode: 

1. Open the authentication app you installed on your mobile device.
2. Use the app to scan the barcode provided on the Redactable 2FA setup page.

Enter the One-Time Code:

1. After scanning the barcode, the app will generate a one-time code.
2. Enter this code into the provided field on the Redactable setup page.
3. Click "Save" to finish the setup.

Congratulations! You have successfully enabled Two-Factor Authentication for your Redactable account. From now on, you will need to enter a code from your authenticator app in addition to your password when logging in. This additional step enhances the security of your account, protecting your sensitive data.
